About the event

10.00 - 12.00

Tuesday 8 April 2025

The Health Foundation - 8 Salisbury Square, London, EC4Y 8AP

In the UK, 1 in 6 boys choose to study A-Level economics - compared with just 1 in 17 girls. Discover Economics is working to understand and address some of the barriers that girls feel they face in the field, and why economics isn't attracting the very best talent from across genders. Hear our latest research and help us shape how to tackle this issue so we can engage more girls at school level.

Speakers  - Sarah Smith OBE (University of Bristol); Elaine Kelly (The Health Foundation); Danielle Guizzo (University of Bristol); Maria Georgouli Loupi (Goldsmiths, University of London) and Erin Hengel (Brunel University of London)
