About the event

As the world faces the urgent need to mitigate climate change, innovative new tools have emerged. However, integrating these tools and aligning economic growth with environmental sustainability poses significant challenges. In his keynote lecture, Professor Andrea Chiavari will bring new research from Oxford and beyond to establish the macroeconomics tools that can applied to ensure positive climate action.

The keynote lecture will be followed by a panel discussion titled Sustaining Sustainability: Balancing Economic Growth and Climate Resilience. The panel, moderated by Professor Banu Demir Pakel, with Mr David Barrett (EBC Financial Group UK Ltd) and Dr Nicola Ranger (Resilient Planet Finance Lab) will bring diverse perspectives into the ways we can achieve the dual goals of financial growth and climate action.

THIS SPECIAL EVENT WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE AND IN-PERSON.

In-person attendance requires your availability in Oxford on 14th November 2024.

2:30pm - 4:00pm, Thursday 14th November, 2024
